Adding (weird) art and houseplants to a room is the quickest way to making it cozy. You don't need the best art. You don't need expensive art. You don't need matching art. You don't need art that everyone will love. You don't have to get art that says something important or represents something.
All you need is art that speaks to you, and you alone, in some way. Art that reminds you of a good memory. Art that makes you feel. Art that you think is pretty. Art that you think has beautiful colours. Or art that you think is your style. Thats all you need. Simple. :)
Throw in a cute pup and some couch cushions and you are 99% there.
